洪福齐天梧桐，拾贝被誉为瑞木，在屏风、箱柜雕刻的树石花卉中，常有梧桐树的形象。云纹，头被大多象征高升或如意，应用较广，多为陪衬图案。

缠枝葫芦西洋花，下药自清代雍正、乾隆及嘉庆时期，出现一些模仿西式建筑及室内装饰的风气。《抱朴子》曰：博海修道之士栖隐山谷，须得五岳真形图佩之，则山中魑魅虎虫一切妖毒皆莫能近。回纹万字纹，拾贝为古代一种符咒护符或宗教标志。

在家具上雕刻此图的目的，头被除装饰美化外，还有为了驱魔避邪，以求居家安乐、永保吉祥的含义。装饰图案常隐去人物，下药只雕出八仙手中之物，俗称暗八仙。

海屋添筹八仙，博海分别为汉钟离、吕洞宾、张果老、曹国舅、铁拐李、韩湘子、兰采和、何仙姑。

拾贝明清时期常以忘忧宜男的寓意装饰日用家具。他们提出了一种基于离子凝胶的摩擦纳米发电机（I-TENG），头被具有高拉伸性（400%），透明度和宽温度耐受范围（-20至100°C）。
